Passive to active: Our shopping experience will soon be changing completely. The sales area will become an encounter zone, with individual information and digital communication as key elements. By pressing a button, the customer will have a comprehensive overview of products in the supermarkets of the future: Origin, manufacturer, contents, whatever is relevant for them. Maura Latini, General Director of coop Italia, who was at the EXPO 2015 with her company, demonstrated how such a market could look in real time as she explained the idea behind it.
